With a combined 35 million subscribers across their individual channels, it makes the cast of Team Jesser one of the most popular group channels on YouTube.

Team Jesser focuses on publishing sport and fun challenge-based videos twice a week.

About the Company

Bucketsquad is the video and ecommerce business founded and led by YouTube's largest basketball creator, Jesser (25M subscribers, 2x Streamy Sports Creator of the Year). The company operates Jesser's YouTube channels and his sports and streetwear brand, and plans to continue expanding into other video, consumer product, subscription and licensing businesses. In 3 years the company has grown to a team of 40 with 8-figure revenues on strong double-digit margins and 100% year on year growth. Bucketsquad is currently seeking a proactive and ambitious individual to be a Producer for the Team Jesser channel.

About the Role

The Producer (Team Jesser channel) will be focused on the physical production of YouTube videos. We are seeking a highly organized, creative, and self-starting Producer to join our growing production team. He or she should be a structured thinker and problem-solver, an exceptional communicator and decision-maker, and an experienced and effective producer and videographer. You will be working together with a small team to create fun and engaging YouTube videos from pre-production through to producing the video on shoot day.

Role Responsibilities
  • Camera operator - You will be confident in shooting 1-2 videos a week as lead camera operator and producer, ensuring the team and talent has a comprehensive understanding of project requirements and goals.
  • Managing a production assistant: You will work closely with a production assistant who will work under your leadership and guidance. You will effectively delegate tasks and ensure work is completed on time and to a high standard
  • Creative ideation: Working together with the head of creative to develop new video ideas including script writing. Collaborate by offering feedback on video scripting and storyboards.
  • Production support - Provide support to other producers during video shoots, including setting up equipment, managing lighting and sound, handling cameras, and assisting with talent needs
  • Logistics - Planning and organizing video shoots, equipment requirements, location scouting, gathering props and equipment, preparing & coordinating shoot schedules & communicating with talent to arrange shoot times
  • Set building: working with production assistant to design and build sets, dismantling after shoot
  • Oversee multiple projects - Working on multiple video projects simultaneously ensuring they are on track, including arranging and scheduling shoots,
  • Budget & expense management - developing project budgets, tracking and ensuring costs are kept within allocated limits
  • Logistics & permissions: You will be responsible for securing waivers, permits and any other necessary permissions and access to locations, talent as well as any other legal or regulatory requirements
  • Quality control: Ensure quality of content produced, ensuring it meets the project's creative vision and standards
  • Warehouse Management: Managing and organizing the warehouse, including deliveries, prop arrangement, cleanliness, etc.
  • Equipment Management: Maintain and organize production equipment, ensuring good working order and ready for use
  • Administrative Tasks: Managing production deadlines and print, handling and distributing production-related paperwork

Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in video production, film, or a related field. Experience with YouTube or digital content creation is a plus
  • Skills: Highly experienced working with a range of video production equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio gear. Basic knowledge of video editing software is a plus
  • Attributes: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and decision making skills with a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Time management: You will be required to work to tight deadlines and with limited hours allocated for your shoot - you should be confident working in a fast paced, high pressure environment
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a creative team environment and articulate project goals clearly and effectively.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry production equipment, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks as needed
  • Take ownership: Getting tasks done in the absence of direct supervision. You are comfortable with being critical and finding ways to improve the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of each new project.
  • Previous team management experience is a plus, however not required.

Benefits

This role offers a competitive base compensation of $90,000 plus health benefits and 401k.
