Responsibilities:
Design, analyze, budget, prototypes and samples, purchase and build equipment, machine acceptance, train, implement and improve.
Create and optimize new extrusion processes to improve product quality and production efficiency.
Prepares engineering and cost analyses for process improvement.
Designs manufacturing processes that meet customer product, delivery, and cost requirements.
Conduct engineering and cost analyses to identify and implement process improvements. Maintain the engineering database, including: Bills of materials , Routing and production standards, Drawings and process sheets and Engineering Change Requests/Notices (ECR/ECNs).
Ensure that all extrusion processes comply with safety regulations and standards.
Implement safety measures and conduct hazard assessments.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
3 plus years of experience in manufacturing operation.
Extrusion experience or experience with hydraulic presses and metal forming.
Experience leading or supporting new product introduction (NPI).
Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment.
Perform continuous improvements.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
FMEAs (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Ability to prioritize and multitask.
