Job Description:

Innova Solutions has a client which is immediately hiring for Metrology & Calibration Lab Technician- Test & Evaluation


Position Type: Full time contract
Duration: 12+ months
Location: North Charleston, SC 29418 United States (Onsite)

As a Metrology & Calibration Lab Technician, you will

• Assist with preparing drawings and revising existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts.


• Plan, check, set up, and operate Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) and/or process equipment


• Conduct routine tests, analyze data and document results


• Troubleshoot and recommend resolution of basic laboratory and test-related problems


• Update equipment status using established systems and complete associated paperwork


• Ensure equipment is ready for calibration per metrology processes


• Prioritize and perform work according to automated daily report list, hot list, or as assigned by lead technician


• Perform visual check of M&TE/process equipment for discrepancies and wear


• Identify, document, and route non-conforming items in accordance with metrology lab processes


• Provide information and clarification to customers on metrology processes


• Work with other employees engaged in the calibration and certification of M&TE, and assist in the development of new calibration processes and procedures


• Perform computations necessary to analyze measurement test results


• Perform logistics associated with routing calibrated assets to remote labs and suppliers for calibration services


• Perform tasks associated with Test Asset Management and Property Management including asset tagging, redeployment, storage, and surplus.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 1+ years of experience in metrology and/or calibration/certification, and/or instrumentation.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


• 3+ years of experience in metrology and/or calibration/certification, and/or instrumentation.


• Experience working on a quality and production orientated team.


• Mechanical background experience.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range: $35-$40 per hour
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
