Job Title: Data Center Technician II
Location- Tacoma, WA - Onsite
Contract - 12+ months
Notes:
Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM PST, with occasional weekend work.
Must be within one hour of driving distance from the facility.
Attire: Business casual. No torn jeans, open-toed shoes, or graphic t-shirts.
Provide remote hand support and ensure the upkeep of the Data Center.
Learn internal processes and contribute recommendations for improvements in the future.
Ability to assess the severity and visibility of servers, networking, and cabling equipment and perform replacements as needed.
Knowledge of ITIL processes and change management practices. Familiarity with ServiceNow is highly preferred.
Training will be provided on internal processes and best practices.
Some experience with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) is required.
Collaborate with vendors for infrastructure updates.
Participate in an on-call rotation every 6 weeks, after completing training.
Basic understanding of Unix, Linux, and Windows systems is a plus.
Monitor HVAC and electrical systems, escalating any issues as necessary.
