Position Overview The Facility Solutions Manager for Data Center is responsible for overseeing the operations and maintenance of critical facility environments, ensuring that all systems and processes meet the highest standards of efficiency, safety, and reliability. This role is pivotal in managing external resources and internal teams to achieve operational excellence in data center facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operations of data center facilities, ensuring optimal performance of all building systems.
Manage maintenance and repair activities while adhering to safety protocols and operational guidelines.
Coordinate and supervise construction and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) projects within the data center.
Conduct physical exams, background checks, and substance abuse screenings as part of the hiring and operational processes.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
Lead high-performance teams, providing guidance and support in achieving departmental goals.
Utilize project management skills to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met.
Prepare and present oral reports to management on program performance and operational metrics.
Ensure compliance with company guidelines, policies, and relevant regulations in all facility operations.
Facilitate documentation processes related to facilities management, including financial data and performance metrics.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in facilities management, specifically in data centers or critical environments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Cloud applications.
Strong background in project management and operational contract management.
Experience with building systems, mechanical systems, and electrical systems in a facilities context.
Valid driver's license and the ability to travel as needed.
Excellent leadership and team-building skills in a mobile work environment.
Strong oral presentation and communication skills.
Familiarity with technical solutions and documentation required for data centers.
