Macdonald & Company are partnered with an established real estate investment and development firm, who are seeking a Director of Asset Management to oversee a portfolio of properties across multiple markets. This role will focus on maximizing asset performance, optimizing leasing strategies, and driving long-term portfolio growth through strategic financial management and operational oversight.
Role Overview:
The Director of Asset Management will play a critical role in overseeing financial performance, lease-up strategies, and asset stabilization efforts. This individual will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive revenue growth, ensure operational efficiency, and execute key investment strategies to enhance portfolio value.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the financial and operational strategy for a diverse real estate portfolio, ensuring strong returns and risk mitigation.
Develop and evaluate financial models, forecasts, and valuation strategies to support investment decisions.
Work closely with property management teams to implement leasing strategies that drive occupancy and rental growth.
Prepare detailed reports on asset performance, market trends, and strategic recommendations for investors and executives.
Assess refinancing options, recommend hold/sell strategies, and support capital deployment initiatives.
Ensure portfolio compliance with financial and regulatory requirements while identifying and mitigating potential risks.
Partner with internal departments, including acquisitions, development, and finance, to align asset management strategies with broader company goals.
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in real estate asset management, with a background in commercial, multifamily, or mixed-use properties.
Strong financial acumen with expertise in modeling, forecasting, and investment analysis.
Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Proven ability to drive asset value through leasing, repositioning, and financial structuring.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software.
