Blue Halo has an opportunity for a highly skilled Engineer to join a small multi-disciplined team supporting research and development activities for the Air Force Research Laboratory. Candidate will use creative problem solving and engineering acumen to design field and lab test infrastructure and perform state-of-the-art experiments in support of the USAF and USSF.
Primary responsibilities for this role will include:
Develop and maintain lab and field test infrastructure that integrates COTS and custom hardware, software, and data acquisition
Support test activities through planning, documentation, execution, and post-test analysis
Provide solutions spanning multiple disciplines including electrical, mechanical, and electro-optical engineering
Participate in Air Force test and training activities (some travel may be required)
Requirements:
B.S. in Engineering Physics, Electro Optical Engineering, Optical Engineering with 0-3 years of experience
Hardware/Software and system integration using custom and COTS components
Strong troubleshooting skills
Self-directed worker willing to adapt against unique challenges and inclined to take ownership and pride of project responsibilities
Strong attention to detail and careful and diligent work ethic resulting in high-quality results
Job location is on-site at WPAFB, Dayton, OH
Ability to work on a varied set of projects and learn multi-disciplined engineering techniques
Due to security requirements, U.S. citizenship is required, and the candidate must be able to secure a SECRET clearance
Preferences:
Experience with imaging, optics, and/or lasers
Laboratory and/or field test experience
Working knowledge of data acquisition and hardware/software interaction
