We are looking for a Director of Security Services to lead our team of over 170 security professionals including Security Officers, Dispatchers, and Ambassadors. This position offers the opportunity to lead system-wide security operations with dynamic teams built on camaraderie and trust. Our security team plays a crucial role as they are not only the first point of contact for many of our staff, patients, families, and visitors, but they also ensure safety at all Community campuses.
Utilizing your influencing and leadership skills, you will guide the department's strategic direction, prioritizing a philosophy of collaboration and de-escalation. Throughout this process, you will make informed business decisions that align with the organization's mission and goals.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice or Healthcare related field required
7 years of managerial or supervisory experience required
Knowledge of healthcare security and program development principles, techniques and managerial skills required
Licenses and Certifications
Valid California Driver's License and driving record acceptable to Community Health System required
Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator issued by the International Association of Healthcare Safety and Security (IAHSS) required within 1 year of hire
State of California Guard Card required within 1 year of hire
