As a Server at our Japanese/Omakase Restaurant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to guests, delivering food and beverages with impeccable attention to detail in line with the hotel’s goal of achieving Forbes 5-Star status. Your role is pivotal in creating an extraordinary dining experience, anticipating guests' needs, and offering personalized service that makes them feel valued. You will engage with guests in a refined and genuine manner, ensuring each interaction is thoughtful and memorable. Your attention to detail, along with your ability to seamlessly deliver anticipatory service, will contribute to the restaurant’s reputation for exceptional hospitality and luxury service standards.


What will I be doing?


As a Server at Japanese/Omakase Restaurant, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:



  • Greet guests warmly, using their names whenever possible, and engage with them in a manner that reflects the refined standards of the restaurant.

  • Respond to guest requests promptly and efficiently, ensuring a personalized and attentive service experience.

  • Demonstrate a genuine sense of interest in guests' needs, providing expert recommendations and creating a memorable dining experience.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and restaurant promotions to provide accurate information and enhance the guest experience.

  • Take food and beverage orders, input orders into the point-of-sale system, and ensure that all details are accurately captured.

  • Retrieve and deliver food and beverages in a timely manner, ensuring that each order is presented to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

  • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal, addressing any concerns or needs promptly and with a positive attitude.

  • Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in compliance with all federal, state, local, and company regulations.

  • Keep your station well-stocked with necessary supplies to ensure a smooth service.

  • Clearing and cleaning tables throughout the meal service, ensuring each table is prepared for the next guest with meticulous attention to detail and a seamless transition.


The rate of pay for this role is $16.5000  - $21.2488 and is based on applicable and specialized experience.

This role requires someone with a refined understanding of high-end service, anticipatory hospitality, and a genuine interest in Japanese cuisine and omakase-style service. The ideal candidate will bring both knowledge and enthusiasm to the table, engaging guests with a thoughtful and professional approach, ensuring every guest feels valued, and enhancing their dining experience through impeccable service.


The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:



  • Proven experience as a server, preferably in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant setting.

  • Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine and beverages, ideally including omakase-style service.

  • Ability to engage with guests with a genuine sense of interest, remembering their names and preferences to create a personalized and memorable experience.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and delivering Forbes 5-Star level service.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries and requests.

  • Must possess a valid Food Handler Card and Alcohol Awareness certification prior to being offered the position.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
