The Truck Driver is responsible for transporting transformer units and materials to their assigned locations, ensuring timely delivery in a safe and efficient manner. Compliance with all safety requirements, transportation regulations and company policies are essential functions of this role.
Operate trucks safely, following all traffic laws and adhering to company policies and procedures.
Load and unload transformer units and materials, ensuring that items are properly secured during transit.
Plan and follow the best routes, taking into account traffic and weather conditions to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Conduct regular vehicle inspections to maintain its safe operation, identifying and reporting any mechanical or electrical issues that require attention.
Communicate effectively with team members, dispatchers and clients, updating on delivery statuses and possible delays.
Adhere to safety protocols, such as wearing seat belts and personal protective equipment when required.
Complete delivery logs and other necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Communicate courteously with other drivers, pedestrians, and road users.
Interacting professionally with clients and notating customer preferences, acting as a contact for the company
Compensation is paid by the mile. Drivers can expect to drive an average of 1500-2500 miles per week; however, this can vary based on business needs
