RS&H is currently seeking a Project Delivery Office (PDO) Initiatives Manager.  This position is a remote role with the ability to work anywhere in the US or a hybrid position if the successful candidate lives near one of our local offices throughout the country.

 

Job Summary:

The PDO Initiatives Manager is a key role responsible for the planning, coordination, and successful execution of a portfolio of strategic initiatives within the Project Delivery Office (PDO). This position will oversee the lifecycle of assigned initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, effective resource allocation, and the achievement of desired outcomes. The PDO Initiatives Manager will work closely with stakeholders, manage initiative progress, and proactively address challenges to ensure successful implementation.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Stakeholder Needs and Initiative Alignment:
    • Assess and define the needs and expectations of Business Units and Resource/Administrative Groups (internal clients/ stakeholders) regarding PDO initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
    • Establish initiative requirements, communicate them to initiative teams, and ensure deliverables meet these requirements, maintaining stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Initiative Planning and Scope Development:
    • Develop a prioritization plan along with a detailed initiative scopes, budgets, and schedules to communicate initiative plans to teams, ensuring clarity of objectives and shared goals.
  • Initiative Execution and Management:
    • Direct the initiative team through all phases of the initiative to achieve the desired results within the established budget and schedule.
  • Resource Management and Negotiation:
    • Manage resource allocation for assigned initiatives, negotiating adjustments as needed under the guidance of PDO leadership.
    • Recommend alternative solutions to address challenges and ensure initiative objectives are met.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Liaison:
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, facilitating communication and providing regular status updates.
    • Act as a liaison between stakeholders and initiative teams throughout the initiative lifecycle.
  • Technical Direction and Coordination:
    • Provide technical direction and coordination of the initiative team.
  • Driving Initiative Adoption:
    • Foster a positive environment to support the adoption and successful implementation of PDO initiatives.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for improvement within PDO initiative processes and participate in efforts to implement changes.
  • Other Duties:
    • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration,  or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years relevant experience, including at least five years of direct initiative management experience.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Requires strong attention to detail, commitment to follow through, and ability to work independently following general direction and oversight from leadership. Also requires the ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, set priorities, and manage multiple projects and assignments.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication, as well as strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to and understand people in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Must possess the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, demonstrate professional courage, and guide and influence others.
  • Must have knowledge of the firm goals and strategies, professional demeanor, and ethical standards to serve as the primary source of all information concerning the project and RS&H.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyze data trends.
  • Experience with process mapping and improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
