ITS, LLC is seeking a Senior Infrastructure and Platform Engineer to support US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance for a 24/7 support capacity and supervision at the site of Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The Infrastructure and Platform engineer designs, builds, and maintains the foundational infrastructure and tools that developers use, focusing on simplifying the complexity of software delivery, enhancing developer productivity, and aligning development practices with DoD objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Designing and Building Infrastructure:
Creating and maintaining the infrastructure that powers digital platforms, including server landscapes and system frameworks.
Ensuring high availability and fault tolerance of the platform.
Focusing on scalability and performance optimization.
Implementing automation and infrastructure-as-code principles.
Automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
Building and maintaining internal developer portals and tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) in the DoD environment.
Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
Scripting and automation languages (Python, Bash).
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
Clearance Requirement:
TS/SCI Clearance Required with possibility of SAP/SAR in future needs
