Job Description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The PT Specialist III, Discovery College performs standard support duties assisting the instructors. Ensures that all children have a safe, secure and appropriate environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Assists the Program Manager of Discovery College with the set-up and day-to-day operation of the summer youth program


2. Helps to ensures that children have a safe, and secure environment


3. Confirms that summer Instructors are in place for daily sessions as directed


4. Assists with making assignments for Youth Program Specialist I as needed


5. Assists with lesson plans for students as directed by the Program Manager


6. Monitors drop-off and pick-up of students


7. Assists instructors with supply and copy needs


8. Reports incidents to Program Manager of Discovery College


9. Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:

• Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment


• Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position


• Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards


• Work hours vary between 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday through Thursday; morning and afternoon shifts available

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED

Salary

Hourly Pay Rate is $15.14.
