Aircraft Systems Technician- Flight Readiness




North Charleston, SC




Contract Position




$36.39-$45.86/Hour

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform final component installation, system validation testing, and troubleshooting for aircraft before delivery.


• Conduct inspections of flight test installations and functional testing of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and avionics systems.


• Identify and document mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults, ensuring proper repairs.


• Execute pre-flight and post-flight checks, maintenance, modifications, and rework.


• Verify the accuracy and quality of completed work, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.


• Assist with system and subsystem pre-delivery inspections to prepare aircraft for handover.


• Plan and schedule tasks independently with guidance from leads, with work reviewed for compliance and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• 
  Education & Experience: High School Diploma/GED and 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


• 
  Work Requirements: Must be willing and able to work any shift, including days, nights, and weekends.


• 
  Certification: FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license or equivalent experience to obtain an FAA Repairman's Certificate.


• 
  Experience:
  
  
  
  • 
    1+ years in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing.
  
  
  • 
    1+ years of avionics and/or electrical experience.
  
  
  
  


• 
  Preferred Qualifications:
  
  
  
  • 
    787 Program experience.
  
  
  • Experience working in a team environment with formal or informal team leadership responsibilities.
  
  
  • 
    Airline, MRO, or Overhaul experience.
  
  
  • Familiarity with computing and operating systems.
  
  
  • 
    A&P license preferred.
