We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. The Bookkeeper will work closely with the accounting team to help with monthly and year-end reporting, payroll, and other financial tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
Prepare and process payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial records are up-to-date.
Generate financial reports (e.g., profit and loss statements, balance sheets) and present to management.
Monitor and ensure timely payment of bills, invoices, and other financial obligations.
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies.
Assist with audits and other financial activities as needed.
Maintain and update accounting databases and software as needed.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial discrepancies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field is preferred.
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
