HTI has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineering Technician with a large start-up manufacturing facility in Waynesboro, GA (located just south of Augusta, GA). This is a full-time, direct-hire, onsite position. The company offers fantastic benefits and opportunities for growth/advancement. Salary will depend on experience and education, and the range is approximately $55,000 - $75,000 / year.
Requirements:
Must have 3+ years of Quality Engineer, Quality Technician, or Engineering Technician experience in a manufacturing plant
Must have experience in a component assembly environment conducting quality inspections on parts and finished products, as well as root cause analysis, and corrective actions
Associate's degree is preferred; must have high school diploma or GED
Must be able to interpret technical drawings/blueprints, work instructions, plans, diagrams and product specifications
Experience with measuring/testing tools and quality-related equipment
Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to effectively coordinate with team members at all levels of the organization
Strong computer/systems skills are required, and ERP system experience is strongly preferred
Must be flexible and able to adapt quickly to change as this is a startup environment
Previous training, certifications, and/or experience in quality related problem-solving techniques (SPC, PFMEA, FMEA, PPAP, etc.) is a plus
Experience with an ISO and/or UL certified company is preferred
Local candidates strongly preferred
Summary:
Will ensure that all finished products meet quality standards, in accordance with internal and customer requirements and specifications. This role will involve heavy time on the production floor conducting quality inspections on finished products, conducting root cause analysis on non-conformances, and development/implementation of corrective actions.
Job duties include:
Serve as a representative of the company's global quality management team, and communicate with them regularly to ensure adherence to company and customer quality standards
Conduct quality inspections, measurements, and testing of assembled products and parts to ensure they are in compliance with internal and customer standards and specs
Work with production and assembly leaders to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions on any non-conformances
Analyze and recommend appropriate changes to production and assembly procedures
Ensure production employees are trained in all processes and procedures related to proper part assembly and quality expectations
Ensure that quality procedures are in use, functional, and efficient
Serve as a representative to external contacts for quality-related issues and internal/3rd party quality audits
Track and report all quality-related KPI's
Coordinate and communicate with the Purchasing Department to resolve supplier quality issues
Establish, implement, and enforce procedures/SOP's for maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, and safety
Promote company-wide quality and continuous improvement efforts
