The Senior Quality Technician ensures compliance with quality requirements throughout various assembly processes, including Engine Test, Subs, Mainline, Garage, Testing, Paint & Processing. This position involves working with in-process, partially finished, and completed vehicle products to maintain quality standards. The technician will collaborate with multiple support teams to investigate, document, communicate, and resolve issues related to military vehicle production.
A strong understanding of quality methodologies, problem-solving techniques, and continuous improvement practices is essential. This role also requires the ability to coordinate and lead project efforts with cross-functional teams.
Skills Required
Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance/Quality Control fundamentals and principles
Experience working within ISO 9001 processes
Proficiency in problem-solving techniques and data analysis related to low-rate production
Ability to interpret technical drawings
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong organizational skills with effective written and verbal communication abilities
Skills Preferred
Formal training in root cause analysis
Experience with ORACLE MRP systems and TIPQA
Knowledge of PFMEAs and GD&T
Familiarity with portable metrology technology and development of inspection programs
Experience performing ISO and layered process audits
Experience Required
High School Diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience
Associate's Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience
Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of relevant experience
Experience Preferred
Experience working in a quality program supporting government contracts, preferably Department of Defense (DoD)
Experience collaborating with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA)
