Job Description:
Distinct Engineering Solutions, Inc. has a Full-Time opening for New York State Certified Professional Engineers to work out of our North Brunswick, NJ office with some remote work ability. As the successful candidate, you will have minimum 10 years of Geotechnical/Environmental or Construction related experience in subsurface investigations, design and/or construction Inspection. Candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a thorough knowledge of state and federal regulations and willingness to work in both the office and field.
The successful candidate will possess: • Minimum Bachelor degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering. Master's degree is a plus • Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within six months of joining • Knowledge of regulations pertinent to the field of practice such as Building Code, ASTM/ AASHTO standards, NJDEP, NYSDEC and EPA regulations • Minimum 10 years' experience in site characterization and remediation in a consulting environment • Proficiency in AutoCAD is not required, but is big plus • Experience in preparing /comprehending/ implementing project specifications and prepare data/design reports • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities • Willingness and ability to work independently on nearby or remote project sites • A valid driver's license • Demonstrated experience providing supervision of subcontractors, supporting staff • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment • Excellent organization, communication and report writing skills • Ability and willingness to work overtime including few nights and weekends as project demands.
