We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) sensor development. The ideal candidate will bring innovative automotive ADAS products to production, with a strong focus on sensor mounting, kinematic mechanisms, and structural performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Design robust mounts for ADAS sensors (exterior/interior).
Conduct tolerance analyses to ensure fit, function, and manufacturing feasibility.
Lead optical performance simulations to validate sensor performance in various conditions.
Oversee thermal and structural simulations to optimize sensor performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize design and packaging.
Work with Tier 1 suppliers on mechanical system implementation.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in CATIA 3D CAD software.
3+ years of experience in mechanical design.
Expertise in ASME GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and 2D drawings.
Experience with plastic/injection molding and CAE tools (e.g., ANSYS).
Knowledge of thermal, shock, and vibration testing.
Experience with rapid prototyping.
Advantageous:
Expertise in ADAS component design.
Experience designing within tight spaces.
Knowledge of vehicle build and electrical harnessing.
Education:
Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
