Lead and manage the development of Strategic Master Plans with a consistent methodology across the Advocate Health Enterprise to best inform leadership decisions on key strategic capital investments in alignment with enterprise goals.
This role manages process, operations, and implementation of facility site/ market / area master plans for the enterprise, as well as specific planning requests, as needed.

WHAT YOU WILL DO AS LEADER:
Develop master planning project schedule and workplans for master planning projects or studies.
Coordinate team daily activities in support of workplan, milestones and deadlines.
Ensure consistency and quality control of project deliverables.
Mentor new and junior staff on planning process, tools, policies
Interface directly with administrators, clinical users, consultants, design, and construction partners, as well as Business Development, Finance and Operations partners to gather workload volume and space data for analysis and assessment.
Build consensus with partners on translation of projected volumes to space needs and facility solutions.
Work with PD&C to develop Level "D" pricing reflecting project cost including site costs, major equipment costs.
Manage preparation of current state documents, such as departmental area diagrams created with Bluebeam software to identify department boundaries, size, and key room inventories.
Perform capacity analysis and space needs translation for volume projections.
Lead team in development of planning options and final recommendations, including phasing strategies for implementation.
Coordinate and supports technological needs and graphic presentations.
Oversee benchmarking updates and collection. Develops volume capacity and space projection models.
Manage comprehensive asset databases for each master plan, including lease data and real estate strategy information.
Ensure procedures, policies and tools are consistent and standardized.
Manage continuous improvement of Strategic Master Planning group BI Model and database.
WHAT CONTRIBUTES TO YOUR SUCCESS:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture
7 years of experience in consulting, planning, construction, real estate, engineering, architecture.
Related experience in hospital planning and design.
Requires travel, therefore, will be exposed to weather and road conditions.
