Job Description:
We have been retained by an Insurtech based in the San Francisco area which is providing coverage to climate-impacted properties.
We are looking for an experienced E&S personal lines underwriter to join and help expand their high-value Homeowners portfolio.
For this role, we are looking for someone with the below experience.
Experience & Knowledge:
- Minimum 3+ years of personal lines underwriting experience, with a strong preference for high-value homeowners insurance.
- Familiarity with California's unique risk landscape, including wildfire, earthquake, and other CAT perils.
- Background in E&S or non-admitted markets is a plus.
Underwriting Expertise:
- Deep technical underwriting skills, with the ability to assess and select risks confidently.
- Strong analytical mindset with an ability to balance risk selection and business objectives.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making sound underwriting decisions in evolving markets.
