Sinch is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Billing Analyst to join our Finance team. The Billing Analyst will be responsible for accurately preparing and processing billing invoices, data entry into internal systems, investigating disputes and customer inquiries, and supporting the broader financial team in billing-related activities. This is a hybrid position, located in our Chicago, IL office.
Key Responsibilities:
Billing & Invoicing: Prepare, generate, and issue accurate billing statements and invoices in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with contract terms, pricing agreements, and relevant billing cycles.
Data Entry & Management: Input, update, and maintain billing data in accounting systems and databases, ensuring accuracy and consistency in financial records.
Reconciliation: Review and reconcile billing discrepancies and discrepancies between invoices and payments. Work with customers or internal teams to resolve any billing issues or disputes.
Client Communication: Act as a point of contact for customers regarding billing inquiries, payment processing, and account information. Provide prompt and professional responses to queries.
Reporting & Analysis: Assist in generating billing reports for management review. Analyze billing data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
Compliance & Documentation: Ensure that all billing processes adhere to company policies and industry regulations. Maintain thorough documentation of billing activities and reports.
Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, customer service, and accounting teams to ensure seamless communication and accurate billing.
Audit Support: Assist in audits by providing necessary billing documentation and explanations as required.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements to streamline billing procedures and enhance efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a related finance role.
Strong understanding of billing software and accounting systems
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and comfortable with data analysis and reporting.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
This is a hybrid role, must be able to go into the Chicago, IL office 2-3x a week.

The annual starting salary for this position is between $60,414 - $75,518. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications. This position is also eligible for bonus.
