Job Summary:



The Manager - SBA Loan Production - BCC role will be an individual contributor within the SBA Loan Processing team in the Business Credit Center. The team's primary purpose is to process applications for SBA loans by moving them through the credit process, and serve as liaisons between Lines of Business, Underwriters, Closing, and Operations, including some customer engagement. The role will be relied upon as an SBA subject matter expert and will help to drive consistency and accountability across the credit process by ensuring SBA loans are closed and funded in accordance with the SBA SOP and other government regulations. The Manager level will handle larger, more complex loan transactions and will become more directly engaged with clients when necessary.



Responsibilities:

• Drive consistency and accountability across the credit and loan onboarding process by managing an origination pipeline of SBA loan requests through workflow stages from application to closing.
  
  


• Manage multiple SBA guaranteed loan applications simultaneously with careful tracking of application status and next steps required for an application to advance.
  
  


• Coordinate with Line of Business on customer outreach efforts to ensure required documentation is collected and uploaded into the Loan Origination System.
  
  


• Support consistency and accountability across the credit process by processing SBA loan applications and related documentation
  
  


• Verification that all SBA documentation is in order in preparation for closing to ensure all requirements of the SBA guaranty have been met
  
  


• SBA subject matter expert capable of researching answers to inquiries that arise during the credit review and approval process - especially those relating to SBA program eligibility
  
  


• Participate in the loan review and preparations for all SBA audits
  
  


• Support the Director of SBA Loan Production with leadership functions, as necessary
  
  

Experience Requirements

• Significant experience with all SBA lending programs including 7(a), Express, 504, and Export lines of credit
  
  


• 5+ years of experience in Credit, Lending, or Bank Operations
  
  


• Bachelor's Degree required (preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics)
  
  


• Strong knowledge of required loan documentation for SBA guaranteed loans
  
  


• Experience with Loan Origination Systems and the SBA E-Tran system
  
  


• Excellent communication and organizational skills with proven ability to multi-task
  
  


• Comfortable speaking with clients and external parties
  
  


• Ability to build relationships and work with teams across various functions of the bank
  
  


• Ability to work independently and proactively create and execute problem resolution strategies
  
  

Preferred Experience

• Deep familiarity with the SBA Standard Operating Procedures
  
  


• Experience with C&I and CRE lending to Small Business or Business Banking clients
  
  


• Experience structuring loans and interpreting programs
  
  


• Prior loan processing experience, preferred
  
  


• Knowledge of applicable lending compliance laws and regulations
  
  

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000USD to $130,000USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
