Base Pay: $21.00 - $31.50 / hour
JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, the Environmental Services Technician is responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness within the facility. Performs a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms, offices, hallways, waiting areas, and other assigned areas of the clinic. Follows established policies and procedures as outlined in the Housekeeping Procedures.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Clean and sanitize lobby areas including countertops and furniture.
Mix appropriate proportions of cleaning and disinfecting materials following safety protocols.
Clean & disinfect patient exam rooms and public areas in accordance to Policy and Standard Operating Procedures as needed.
Dust, mop or sweep lobby floors to maintain a debris free clinic.
Clean and disinfect public restrooms including re-stocking of supplies. Clean mirrors and windows along with sanitizing handles and fixtures.
Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of bio waste according to clinic policies.
Monitor and maintain elevator cabs, including floors, as required.
Vacuum carpeted floors in elevator cabs and remove spots as required.
Create and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
Inform Environmental services supervisor of any cleaning equipment that may need repair or replacement.
Mix appropriate quantities of cleaning liquids and chemicals in accordance to safety procedures set by the management. Answer pages in a timely matter.
Clean any spills as needed, disinfect exam rooms as needed.
Perform high and low detail dusting.
Perform daily checks of conference rooms.
Inform Environmental services supervisor about any building hazard and assist in addressing it.
Maintain a clean and organized storage area for cleaning equipment and supplies.
Maintain adequate stock of cleaning supplies.
Take and address patients' complaints regarding housekeeping services.
Complete any other task as assigned by the Supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Verbal and written communication skills.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school graduate or equivalent.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience working in an outpatient clinic or doctor's office.
