Company /Position Overview:


Ultimate Staffing is looking for a experienced Masonry Estimator for one of our well-established industry leading clients. This is a Direct Hire position to join their team in Farmingdale, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial masonry estimating, a deep understanding of production rates, and prior hands-on field experience. This role requires expertise in analyzing project costs, preparing accurate bids, and building strong relationships with General Contractors (GCs) and industry professionals.




Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and construction documents to prepare accurate estimates for commercial masonry projects.


• Develop detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, and equipment, while ensuring profitability and competitive pricing.


• Utilize industry-standard estimating software to streamline bid preparation and submission.


• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to provide value engineering solutions and cost-saving recommendations.


• Conduct job site visits to assess project scope, verify conditions, and coordinate with field teams.


• Maintain and expand business relationships with GCs, developers, and industry contacts to secure new opportunities.


• Stay up to date on current masonry materials, production rates, and industry trends.


• Participate in contract negotiations, pre-bid meetings, and post-bid reviews.


• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

• 
  5-10+ years of experience in commercial masonry estimating.


• Strong knowledge of masonry construction methods, production rates, materials, and cost factors.


• Prior hands-on field experience working on job sites before transitioning into estimating.


• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, or similar).


• Established network of industry contacts and relationships with GCs, vendors, and suppliers.


• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.


• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.


• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
