As an Electrification PV&V Engineer, you will: • Perform functional testing and analysis of the electric drive systems consisting of electric machines, power electronics, control systems, wiring systems, and related systems. • Work with platform vehicle engineers to translate customer needs and platform vehicle requirements into electric drive system and component requirements, considering performance, cost, quality, schedule, diagnostics, environmental requirements, and applicable industry standards. • Develop electrification subsystem test plans in conjunction with Application Engineering. • Execute product testing through technology delivery, integrated system delivery, and product delivery formal processes. • Collaborate globally with engineers, vehicle platforms, consultants, John Deere Intelligent Solutions and suppliers for system and component analysis, design, development, and verification.
Required Skills: • 2 or more years of Product Engineering or PV&V test engineering experience. • 1 or more years of work experience relating to the design or testing of electric drive systems and components including power electronics and electric machines • 1 or more years of work experience related product development processes. • Excellent communication and listening skills. Written communication requirements include generating product/system requirements documents of significant magnitude, creating technical reports suitable for long-term archiving, and creating presentations. • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%. To the other plant that is about a 40-minute drive.
