Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Development:
- Analyze customer requirements and validate through analysis, modeling, or prototyping.
- Design VFMDs, AC/DC Power Converters, Valve Controllers, and W&W System Controllers.
- Perform circuit design and schematic capture using Altium/OrCAD.
- Conduct SPICE analysis of circuits using Altium/OrCAD PSPICE tools.
- Develop MATLAB/Simulink models for control algorithms.
- Design magnetics for EMI filters, boost/buck inductors, and other input/output filters.
- Testing & Validation:
- Perform worst-case load analysis (DC Load Analysis) on circuit designs.
- Conduct component derating and thermal analysis.
- Perform PCB board bring-up and functional testing.
- Develop and execute Design Verification Test Procedures (DVTP).
- Ensure compliance with RTCA/DO-254 and RTCA/DO-160 aerospace standards.
- Project Leadership & Mentoring:
- Independently lead small to medium-sized projects.
- Review, check, and approve work from peers and junior engineers.
- Provide mentorship, training, and technical guidance to junior team members.
- Collaboration & Compliance:
- Work with cross-functional teams including engineering, industrialization, and operations.
- Interface with suppliers and OEM customers.
- Review, process, and approve engineering changes and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with airworthiness standards and FAA regulations.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
