Small not-for-profit Mental Health association looking for part time U.S. Military Veteran for position of Office Administrator in our Skokie, IL location. NAMI CCNS is part of the largest national lay led mental health association in the U.S. with a mission of helping people with mental illness and their families. The acceptable candidate will become the face of NAMI CCNS to members, the Board of Directors and community individuals seeking assistance.
Duties will include:
answering telephones;
managing the Resource Line;
managing simple bookkeeping tasks with outside bookkeepers;
assisting with correspondence, database management and event management with Development Director;
Working with the Program Director and Development Director on social media strategy implantation, simple website and landing page maintenance, designing and creating program and event materials;
Assisting the Executive Director with all business management issues related to operation of the business;
Attending resource fairs and other events as a NAMI representative.
High School degree or equivalent;
Preferably prior experience working in office administration;
Strong computer and database skills - especially Office 365;
Strong oral and written communication skills;
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently;
Ability to take initiative;
Ability to manage and maintain positive relationships with a variety of individuals with unique needs, backgrounds and skills;
