Job Responsibilities:




Position Overview



Provide comprehensive support for users of Magna Mirrors Information Systems. Respond to and diagnose problems through discussion with users including problem recognition, research, and resolution for both hardware and software issues.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair existing personal computer hardware and software.


• May assist in testing and installing new hardware and software.


• Consults with vendors regarding pricing for new equipment and software


• Provides assessment on new software releases, hardware developments, etc.


• Receives computer equipment from vendor and correlates its receipt to work orders.


• Performs other functions as directed by management of the department.


• Records clear, concise problem descriptions and resolutions in SDE.


• Ensures accuracy of hardware and software inventory in SDE.


• Select suitable software to meet user requirements.


• Receives parts, equipment, hardware, software, etc. and maintains an inventory as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Some related experience preferred

Education / Experience

• High School Diploma


• Currently Attending a College or University

Special Knowledge / Skills:

• Experience in .NET related technologies.


• Experience in SQL server


• Experience in Visual Basic 6, Visual Basic.NET, and/or C#.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:



Employee may be regularly required to talk or listen, stand, walk, sit, stoop, crawl and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations. Prolonged sitting, typing and lifting up to 40 pounds.
