Baer is looking for Ab Initio Technical Consultant for a 12 month Federal Remote Project.

Title: Ab Initio Technical Consultant
Location: Remote (Must be based in US)
Duration: 12+ Months
Rate: All-Inclusive
Alignment: W2 or C2C (Single Person LLC - Vendors Not Permitted)



Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Ab Initio to support data integration and transformation needs.


• Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.


• Develop and optimize complex queries and stored procedures in DB2.


• Work with Cognos and Tableau teams to deliver data visualizations and reporting solutions.


• Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across multiple systems including Data Warehouses and Data Lakes.


• Support migration, integration, and modernization efforts involving Informatica and other legacy ETL tools.


• Perform root cause analysis and resolve issues in data processing and reporting systems.


• Participate in performance tuning and capacity planning for large-scale data environments.


• Document technical processes and solutions in accordance with organizational standards.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 
  3+ years of hands-on experience with Ab Initio development and architecture required.


• Strong expertise in ETL development, data transformation, and data integration.


• Proficiency in DB2 database development, including SQL tuning and performance optimization.


• Experience working with Cognos and Tableau for reporting and dashboard creation.


• Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, architecture, and methodologies.


• Experience working with Data Lake environments and modern big data platforms is a plus.


• Knowledge of Informatica for ETL and migration projects.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.


• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
