The Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science Department at UC Blue Ash invites applicants for our Information Technology faculty general pool of candidates from which part-time faculty will be selected for the upcoming term (as needed).
The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College is one of the largest regional colleges in Ohio. The college is located fifteen miles north of the main uptown campus, on 135 acres in a park-like setting. We offer primarily associate degrees in career and transition programs, as well as general education courses and technical baccalaureate degrees to approximately 5,100 students. The college is a recipient of the Cincinnati Business Courier 2021 Best Places to Work award.
The Department of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science (MPCS) has 29 full-time and more than a dozen adjunct faculty members who are committed to teaching. Our department currently offers 2-year associate degrees in information technology (IT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). We value excellent teaching and personalized student support to help students achieve their goals, whether the goal is to enter a career or to continue their education.
Adjunct faculty are expected to teach courses associate degrees level courses in information technology. Courses may include Systems Administration, Introduction to Networking, Programming, Web Development, and Databases.
The courses may be offered in-person, online, or a hybrid. Class sizes normally range from 15-30 students. Adjunct Instructors would teach 1-2 courses each fall and spring terms. All classes may be offered day or evening. This position is not eligible for Visa or green card sponsorship.
