***Pool requires at least five 12-hour shifts per 6-week schedule with at least two of the five being weekend shifts (Friday night / Saturday any shift / Sunday any shift). Pool staff are required to work two holidays (12-hour shifts) per year based on staff member preference and department need. Day and night shift availability required.

Job Summary:




The Respiratory Care Prac - Pool demonstrates competencies in respiratory assessments and procedures for all patient populations and age groups. The RCP - Pool performs and interacts as a healthcare professional administering respiratory care procedures in acute care and critical care areas. The Respiratory Care Prac - Pool demonstrates competency as outlined in the RCP I COT. Under the direction of the Pulmonary Services Leadership team, provides professional respiratory care to patients in accordance with the hospital's policies and procedures.



EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:



A minimum of 3 years of worked experience in both general and critical care as a licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner is required.



EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:



Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program is required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.



LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:



State of Wisconsin license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) is required within 12 months of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required within 6 months of hire.
