Memorial Rehabilitation Institute provides highly specialized care ranging from complex multiple trauma, stroke and brain injury to physical and speech therapy. Inpatient care is offered at Memorial Regional Hospital South, with outpatient care available in five different locations. We also have a home health team and resources for long-term care at Memorial Manor, while also offering therapy for pediatric developmental diagnosis through Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital.
Summary:
Supervises daily operations activities for Rehabilitative Services.
Responsibilities:
Assesses quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs. Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures and protocols.Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing and patient assignments and levels.Facilitates process improvement initiatives improved outcomes and increased safety in alignment with departmental goals.Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels.

Additional Job Information:
Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: Two (2) years' experience in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Therapy or related program. Other Information: **Florida state licensure as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist or Speech-Language Pathologist.Additional Education Info: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy or Speech-Language Therapy or in a related program.
