Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Director of Alliance Management. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing strategic partnerships and alliances. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that collaborative projects align with our organizational goals and contractual obligations while adhering to regulatory standards. Your capacity to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners will be crucial in driving towards successful outcomes. As the Alliance Management Director, you will be responsible for managing strategic partnerships, serving as a single -point-of-contact for alliance information. This position requires a strategic thinker who can translate complex partnership dynamics into actionable plans, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence. Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of alliance management programs, and establish business processes to:
  • Monitor progress and ensure issues are identified and resolved
  • Escalate issues to resolution removing barriers or hurdles
  • Prioritize needed actions and secure timely decisions
  • Proactively communicate timeline slippage and identify mitigation action
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to align objectives and initiatives in support of alliance goals

Ensure that all core activities of the alliance management function are actively attended to, including:
  • Alliance Governance, including internal preparations, alignment, and decision making
  • Management of disagreements and disputes to minimize conflict and maximize value for our partnership
  • Understand the license agreement in detail and ensure compliance jointly with the internal and external cross-functional teams
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on status of the alliance and key topics
  • Monitor and assess the performance of partnership, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities. Work independently to anticipate, mitigate, and resolve alliance issues
  • Facilitate regular meetings and reviews with internal and external parties to drive alignment and transparency

Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in pharma or biotech industry with deep working knowledge of the industry disciplines spanning the full continuum of activities, including clinical development, regulatory approvals and product registration, manufacturing and commercialization, and product introduction
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience in managing large-scale projects and cross-functional teams in an alliance environment
  • Broad knowledge of European Market is required; European product launch experience is preferred
  • Proven leadership and influencing skills demonstrated through ability to think strategically and solve problems in high-pressure environments
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage complex partnerships and navigating cross-organizational dynamics
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a virtual global environment
  • Project management training or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
  • Proficient user of MS Office suite (e.g., PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project), Teams/SharePoint and collaborative tools, experience using electronic document management systems, document review tools and expertise in standard project management software (Smartsheets) required
  • The role may require up to 20-25% travel internationally
