What You'll Be Doing:
Ensure Quality Excellence: Perform daily inspections for receiving, in-process, and final inspections to identify defects and deviations from design specifications. You'll play a crucial role in maintaining top-tier product quality throughout the entire manufacturing process.
Collaborate with the Best: Document defects or nonconformances accurately and clearly, and collaborate with engineering or manufacturing teams to quickly resolve any issues. Your attention to detail will be key in identifying potential problems and making sure solutions are implemented swiftly.
Ensure Compliance: Review completed manufacturing operations to ensure compliance with company requirements, maintaining the highest standards for every part of the process.
Innovate Inspection Processes: Provide valuable input in the creation of an aircraft inspection plan, using cutting-edge tools such as CMMs, laser trackers, and other advanced inspection equipment to ensure precision and accuracy.
Support FAA Certification: Play an essential role in the planning and execution of FAA conformity inspections, directly contributing to the certification process and helping the company meet critical regulatory requirements.
Drive Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the roll-out of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) techniques, including PFMEAs, control plans, and SPC, helping to elevate the company's quality assurance practices.
What You Need:
Solid Foundation: A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A passion for quality and precision is key.
Hands-On Experience: 5+ years of experience using basic inspection tools such as surface plates, thread gauges, micrometers, calipers, height masters, and more. You'll bring your hands-on expertise to the table in ensuring every detail is accounted for.
Precision and Accuracy: Strong experience with tolerance and drawing reviews, including assessing the ability to verify dimensional requirements. You'll be integral in making sure all specifications are met with uncompromising accuracy.
Expert Measurement Skills: An in-depth understanding of surface plate layouts and the ability to read and interpret quality control specifications and engineering drawings. You'll be skilled at recognizing critical characteristics and ensuring compliance with them.
AS9102 First Article Inspections: Experience completing AS9102 compliant First Article Inspections (FAI) with proficiency in the tools and processes involved.
Tech-Savvy: Experience with MES systems like SAP and using electronic inspection plans. Your ability to work with digital tools will enhance inspection efficiency and accuracy.
Measurement Terminology: A strong grasp of measurement terminology, types of measurements, and the principles behind them.
