We are seeking a skilled Satellite Systems Engineer to play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing advanced satellite systems and subsystems. This position covers all phases of the satellite lifecycle, from concept development through testing and deployment, ensuring performance, reliability, and mission success.
Key Responsibilities
System Design: Develop and design satellite systems, including payloads, bus components, and ground infrastructure, ensuring alignment with mission objectives and performance requirements.
Integration & Testing: Oversee system integration, including both hardware and software elements. Lead testing and validation processes to guarantee functionality and reliability.
Requirements Analysis: Define and analyze system requirements, including performance, interface, and operational specifications, ensuring compliance with mission goals.
Project Management: Oversee development timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure project milestones are met efficiently.
Technical Support: Provide expert guidance to engineering teams, troubleshooting and resolving complex technical challenges.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of system designs, testing procedures, and performance assessments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including software, hardware, and manufacturing specialists, to drive successful system integration and mission execution.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience: At least 4 years of experience in satellite systems engineering, with direct involvement in satellite design and integration.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in satellite design tools (e.g., MATLAB, STK) and a strong understanding of satellite subsystems, including communications, propulsion, and power systems.
Project Management: Experience in engineering project management, including scheduling, resource management, and risk assessment.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex system challenges efficiently.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present technical concepts clearly.
Security Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain a Secret and/or TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:6+ years of experience in satellite systems engineering, particularly in high-precision or mission-critical applications.
Advanced Skills: Expertise in advanced satellite design, including payload development and satellite ground systems.
Certifications: Industry-recognized certifications in systems engineering or satellite technology (e.g., CSEP, SEP).
Industry Background: Experience in aerospace, defense, or space technology, particularly with complex satellite missions.
Innovation: Proven ability to develop innovative solutions in satellite engineering.
