Position Overview The Tax Manager will oversee the tax compliance and planning processes for our clients, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of tax returns. This role requires a deep understanding of federal and state tax regulations, as well as the ability to provide strategic tax advice to clients. The Tax Manager will lead a team of tax professionals and collaborate with other departments to optimize tax strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns including 1040, 1041, 1120, and 1120S.
Review and approve tax returns prepared by staff to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Provide strategic tax planning and consulting services to clients.
Stay updated on changes to tax regulations and assess their impact on clients.
Train and mentor junior staff in tax compliance and planning matters.
Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary documentation during audits.
Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize liabilities for clients.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax.
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
Experience with tax software and preparation tools.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
