Our client, a top-tier investment firm in Menlo Park, is seeking a highly motivated Finance Analyst to join its dynamic finance team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across various functions, including fund operations, portfolio management, and investor relations, while developing a deep understanding of the business through financial modeling, data analysis, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate must have strong analytical skills, great attention to detail, a proven ability to learn quickly, and good communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and update fund models while preparing comprehensive weekly reports that include investment summaries, fund dashboards, and cash flow projections.
Oversee the portfolio database, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility to support strategic decision-making processes.
Deliver essential data support for investor relations during quarterly reporting, providing timely insights to assist internal teams.
Conduct ad-hoc data analyses to uncover actionable insights, enhancing fund and portfolio management strategies.
Support the creation and execution of projects aimed at optimizing operational processes and improving efficiency.
Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics.
1-2 years of experience in Finance, Data, or Portfolio Management.
Strong analytical skills and business intelligence.
Great attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to learn quickly with an appetite for new technologies.
Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Sigma
Prior experience in Venture Capital/Private Equity.
Salary Range:
$90,000 - $105,000
