We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and oversee quality assurance processes within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role will focus on maintaining and improving quality standards while working closely with both internal teams and customers to address quality concerns and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Candidates must be comfortable interacting with customers as this is a client facing role.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
Manage a team of technicians, inspectors, and engineers (under 10 direct reports).
Provide mentorship and leadership to drive quality initiatives and continuous improvement.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001 standards.
Oversee quality inspections and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Conduct internal audits and support external audit activities (audit experience is a plus).
Customer Engagement & Issue Resolution:
Act as a primary customer-facing representative for quality discussions, handling concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with customers to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Present in a professional setting and communicate effectively with external stakeholders.
Process Improvement & Defect Prevention:
Utilize CMM technology and quality inspection tools to monitor and improve product quality.
Identify root causes of defects, implement corrective actions, and track effectiveness.
Work closely with production teams to proactively reduce quality risks and ensure process control.
Qualifications & Experience:
Previous management experience in a quality-focused role within manufacturing.
Strong background in CMM, GD&T (basic understanding required), and quality inspection hand tools.
Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems (audit experience preferred).
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
Certified Quality Manager or Certified Quality Engineer certification is a plus.
