How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is responsible for the Region's planning, budgeting, forecasting, business reporting and analysis in support of the Region's profitability and growth. The Manager, FP&A further provides innovative financial leadership to the business unit and functional leaders in the Region.
Reports and analyzes on Regional financial and operating metrics, such as: same-store sales, gross margin, same-store and operating expenses, working capital, asset utilization, capital expenditures, etc.
Works closely with the Regional Company business/finance support teams to better understand historical financial results, trends and validate forecast assumptions.
Provides support and analysis for sales and marketing related to customer price realization (i.e., measurement of periodic price increases and other pricing initiatives designed to enhance profitability).
Supports the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, working closely with both the Regional and Divisional business/finance support.
Leads the Region's efforts to improve & utilize data warehouse reporting tools.
Performs extensive financial modeling in support of the Region.
Builds strong relationships with the Division Finance management teams.
Provides financial training to Regional leaders within the organization.
Oversees financial audits and control testing of branch operations to insure compliance with Airgas financial policies & procedures.
Supports the Regional finance organization through goal-setting, evaluations, positive feedback, discipline, and on-going coaching ensuring activities are performed within Airgas policy.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Pay: $85k-100k

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related degree required. Post-graduate Business or Finance education, such as an MBA, preferred.
Required Length & Type of Experience:
Minimum of seven years of increasing responsibility in financial planning and analysis demonstrating leadership of and/or management of a team.
Prior experience utilizing SAP preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of how to leverage technology related tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the FP&A function.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Business and financial acumen.
Ability to analyze and disseminate large amounts of data.
Exhibits customer focused behavior such as building positive relationships and strives to understand customer's needs, both internal and external.
Skilled in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook as well as a demonstrated ability to utilize financial applications within ERP software (i.e. SAP, Oracle).
Ability to deal with difficult situations in a diplomatic and professional manner.
Excellent analytical and creative problem solving skills with the ability to make independent decisions based on investigation and judgment as well as ability to discern when to escalate issues.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adjust communication method based on customer situation.
Experience integrating new technologies into day-to-day operations.

Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team atmosphere.
