ABS Consulting's Extreme Loads and Structural Risk Division in San Antonio, Texas is seeking an Explosion Hazard Analyst/ Engineer II to join our team.

The Extreme Loads group has unique capabilities and extensive experience in the analysis and design of facilities subject to extreme loads including:
Facility Siting Analysis
Quantitative Risk Assessment
Fire & Explosion Risk Assessments
Explosion, Fire and Toxic Modeling
Explosion Testing and Similitude Modeling
Advanced Finite Element Analysis: Nonlinear static, Nonlinear transient dynamic
Advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics Analyses
Root Cause Analysis & Incident Investigations
What You Will Need:
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering.
Two (2) to four (4) years of professional experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Coursework in fluid dynamics and energy emphasis.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to speak well in group and/or client facing environments.
It Would Be Nice If You Had
Master's degree Mechanical/Chemical Engineering.
Experience in fire/toxic/explosion hazards analysis.
Experience with PHAST, CFD (FLACS), and/or FEA experience.
Work will normally be performed in an office environment in San Antonio, Texas. Duties may include outside assignments which may include limited travel. Work tasks may involve manual labor in an industrial setting on an as needed basis.
