Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager to fill an opening with a Construction Company located in Metro Detroit. Must have experience managing teams in the field for construction (or similar) projects.
Requirements of the Field Operations Manager
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or a Related field preferred
Leadership and team development
5+ years in Field Operations Management and the ability to oversee large scale, complex field proejcts
Project Budgeting and Financial forecasting experience
Performance Management, KPI implementation and reporting experience

Responsibilities of the Field Operations Manager
Oversee day-to-day operations of field staff, inventory control, and fleet/equipment management, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Collaborate closely with Field Supervision to unify field and office staff, fostering high morale, productivity, and efficient, high-quality work performed safely.
Budget Management: Oversee departmental budgets, ensuring financial targets are met. Identify cost-saving opportunities to support efficient resource management.
Team Leadership, Development, and Engagement: Lead, support, and engage field and warehouse teams by fostering a collaborative work environment, implementing training programs, and developing technical competencies.
Optimize field scheduling, inventory control, and fleet management by refining processes, implementing strategic initiatives, and leveraging technology such as ERP systems. Enhance efficiency, data accuracy, and decision-making while minimizing costs and maximizing productivity.
Proactively identify and address conflicts within the team or with cross-functional partners, fostering a solutions-oriented and constructive work culture.
Oversee strategies for inventory control, consumable management, and fleet operations to ensure optimal resource
availability, cost efficiency, and adherence to organizational and safety standards.
Participate in physical inventory counts as needed, supervise the process, and reconcile any discrepancies by determining and implementing corrective actions.
