What will you be doing?


As a Sr. Payroll Specialist, you will manage all aspects of payroll processing, compliance, tax, audits, and employee support. You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll administration while maintaining compliance with multi-state and local payroll laws.


Job Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly and weekly payroll for employees across multiple U.S. states.
  • Review time and attendance records for accuracy, resolving discrepancies within required timelines.
  • Validate all payroll transactions within UKG before transmission.
  • Conduct pre- and post-payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Provide employees with accurate payroll support, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Collaborate with the payroll team to execute payroll-related projects and initiatives.
  • Partner with Human Resources to ensure timely and accurate processing of new hires, terminations, and employee changes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimize payroll workflows.
  • Support global payroll operations, including Canada and Puerto Rico.
  • Adapt to a fast-paced environment with flexibility and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of payroll administration experience in a multi-state organization.
  • Experience working with UKG payroll systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-state and local payroll laws.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

This position can be located in the following area(s): Remote, USA in Central or Eastern Time Zones.



The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $90,000.

This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
