Schedule:




*Part Time M-F 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (20 hours per week) *Flexible schedule




Pay- $25.00- $30.00 per hour based on experience.

About the job:



The Onboarding and Retention Specialist (OARS) will serve as a dedicated facility resource to ensure new employees are supported throughout the hiring process (onboarding and orientation), initiate and deploy program tools, disseminate data to team members, assist in determining why employees are leaving (retention and turnover), and build relationships and initiatives to support employee retention. The Onboarding and Retention Specialist will deploy a facility action plan and ensure program initiatives and changes become integrated for on-going deployment in the organization. This position will work within the Empira collaborative by sharing education, experiences, and best practices as they deploy the program within their respective organizations.



Essentials:



  • Gathers and utilizes data by conducting and analyzing employee surveys and employee stay interviews.

  • Seeks, builds and leverages partnerships and relationships, both internal and external, in order to further personal, team and organizational goals.

  • Serves as an employee ambassador for staff to ask questions and provide feedback.

  • Ensures the onboarding process is welcoming, thorough and incorporates the company culture.

  • Walks alongside new employees through the onboarding process.

  • Determining gaps where additional supervisor/management training is needed.

  • Coordinating and conducting supervisor/management training and development programs.

  • Identifying operational/system changes that help adjust to a shorter-term workforce.

  • Analyzing scheduling for models that better align with today's workforce's needs.

  • Developing innovative opportunities for advancement and career paths for workers and assist in building career pathways for team members, offering a clear picture of growth and development

  • Implementing recognition and appreciation programs.

  • Ascertaining ways the organization and managers can be more transparent with employees.

  • Developing effective staff meeting schedules, agendas and tools for those leading meetings.

  • Connecting with Marketing, Human Resources, and Recruiting team in crafting organizational messages that instill the company's mission and core values.

  • Revamping/revitalizing the interview process, selection criteria and applicant communication plan to further improve efficiency and effectiveness in matching candidates with core job requirements, including determining a plan to identify any skills gaps and how those might be closed.

  • Improving the employer brand outside the organization within the community.

  • Partnering closely with Human Resources and other leaders to ensure the above is completed in a collective way the reinforces other job rules and protocols, as well as meets regulatory requirements.

  • Assist in the development and/or deployment of employee mentoring program.

  • Employ various methods of learning delivery to accommodate multiple learning styles and information needs.

  • Is able to interact with multiple stakeholders to deploy the OARS Program tools and resources.

  • Partner with the Empira, Consultants, Corporate Leaders to successfully deploy program in the facility.

  • Willingness to promote change through education.

  • Project management experience preferred (or willingness to learn).

  • Training and leadership coaching skills preferred (or willingness to learn).

  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office applications and other required software programs.

  • Ability to learn how to navigate and leverage data from HR software platform.

  • Must be able to function independently and demonstrate flexibility.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills both written and verbal.

  • Ability to lead and work alongside staff, residents, and families.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Ability to maintain confidential information.

  • Experience in hiring, supervising, and/or onboarding a plus.

  • Proficient with, or willing to learn, continuous quality improvement.

  • Understand, interpret, and utilize data to improve the employee experience.

  • Ability to demonstrate high emotional intelligence.

  • Demonstrate a diplomatic demeanor to effectively resolve conflict.

  • Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/ HR degree preferred, but not required.
