Behavioral Health Network (BHN) is the largest provider of behavioral health services in Western Massachusetts and a Certified Great Place to Work. If you're a 2nd-year clinical Master's student seeking an impactful outpatient internship for Fall 2025, we invite you to join our team. At BHN's Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) in Springfield, you'll gain hands-on experience while receiving top-notch training, supervision, and mentorship.


What You'll Do:


As a Master's-Level Clinical Intern, you will learn to deliver evidence-based, goal-directed care to clients across the lifespan. You'll work in a dynamic outpatient environment providing individual, family, couple, and group therapy while collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct initial assessments and provide evidence-based psychotherapy and social-emotional skills training

  • Develop collaborative treatment plans and measure progress toward client goals

  • Participate in clinical team meetings, supervision, and continuing education

  • Provide care in various settings, including in-person, telehealth, and outreach within the community

  • Learn about and implement evidence-based practices while delivering client-centered services

What You'll Bring:


  • Enrollment in the 2nd year of a CSWE-accredited Master of Social Work program or a Master's program in Clinical/Counseling Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, etc. (required)

  • Experience working with children, adolescents, or adults (preferred)

  • Familiarity with PC/Windows computers, Microsoft Office programs, and email systems (required)

  • Willingness to work on-site in Springfield at least 20% of the time (required)

  • Team-based and goal-directed approach to client care (preferred)

  • Knowledge of mental health diagnoses and evidence-based treatment techniques (preferred)
