Ultimate Staffing is seeking an Admissions Officer/Student Recruiter for a client in St. Louis, MO.
Ideal candidates will be results-driven and detail-oriented with excellent communication and follow-up skills. The focus will be on driving enrollment growth through proactive outreach, effective sales strategies, and exceptional relationship-building. As a key representative of the institution, the Admissions Clerk will actively engage prospective students and guide them through the admissions process, from initial inquiry to enrollment.
Status: Temp to Hire
Shift: Mon-Fri Days with occasional Sat hours. (1 day remote after 60 days in Admission dept)
Pay rate: $20-22/hr (DOE)
Key Responsibilities:
Student Recruitment and Lead Generation:
Proactively identify and generate leads through outbound initiatives, including cold calling, scripts, email campaigns, community partnerships, and social media engagement.
Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective students through consistent follow-ups and personalized communications. Adhering to processes and checklists, following up with students to ensure they move through the enrollment process and meet strict deadlines.
Develop and execute recruitment strategies targeting specific demographics, industries, or geographic regions to meet enrollment goals.
Partner with marketing teams to optimize campaigns and advertisements for lead generation.
Sales and Enrollment Conversion:
Apply consultative sales techniques to understand prospective students' needs and align them with the institution's programs and resources.
Effectively move prospects through the enrollment funnel by addressing objections, highlighting program benefits, and providing tailored solutions.
Track and analyze the success of outreach efforts, adjusting strategies to maximize conversion rates.
Coordinate with financial aid and student services teams to provide holistic support and ensure a seamless enrollment process.
Admissions Process Management:
Evaluate applications, transcripts, and other materials to determine eligibility for admission.
Conduct interviews and provide recommendations for admission decisions.
Guide prospective students and their families through every step of the admissions process, ensuring a positive experience.
Event Planning and Outreach:
Organize and participate in open houses, campus tours, webinars, and virtual information sessions.
Represent the institution at college fairs, industry events, and community gatherings to expand the reach of recruitment efforts.
Develop relationships with high schools, community organizations, and corporate partners to increase awareness and referrals.
Data and Reporting:
Track recruitment metrics, including lead generation, conversion rates, and enrollment figures, to measure performance against goals.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the admissions CRM system.
Prepare detailed reports and insights to inform future recruitment strategies and goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree Required
2+ years of experience in sales, admissions, or recruitment, preferably in a higher education setting.
Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales or enrollment targets.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
Proficiency in CRM systems and lead management software (e.g., Salesforce, Slate).
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel for recruitment events and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. 1 Saturday a month during peak seasons.
