We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Part-Time Medical Receptionist to join our Greater New York Endoscopy Surgical Center team in Brooklyn, NY.

About the Role:

The Medical Receptionist plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Greater NY Endoscopy Surgical Center by managing patient interactions and administrative tasks. This position is responsible for creating a welcoming environment for patients, facilitating their appointments, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately. The Medical Receptionist will also handle patient inquiries, manage phone calls, and coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow. By maintaining organized records and managing scheduling, this role directly contributes to the overall patient experience and operational efficiency of the center. Ultimately, the Medical Receptionist is vital in supporting the healthcare team and enhancing patient satisfaction through effective communication and administrative support.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.

  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Medical Administrative Assistant or similar credential.

  • Experience with medical billing and coding.

  • Bilingual skills in English and another language.


Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.

  • Manage appointment scheduling and patient check-in/check-out processes.

  • Handle phone calls, including answering inquiries and directing calls to appropriate staff.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner.

  • Assist with insurance verification and billing inquiries as needed.
