This position will be involved in technology research, prototype development, and data analytics. Assisting in project work including but not limited to following projects: Digitally transform our consumer experience using web, mobile, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning; grow our Data Analytics capabilities and offerings; migrate our systems to the Microsoft Azure Cloud; enhance our business efficiency utilizing LEAN Six Sigma process reengineering.
Responsibilities:
Performs research, prototype development, software engineering, integrated systems development and/or advanced data analytics to solve mortgage industry problems
Research solutions to challenging financial services problems
Designs, implements, and tests research prototype software
Integrates software into larger systems, designs test cases, and evaluate solution effectiveness
Contributes to high performance technical teams to innovate and executes both short-term and long-term project goals
Contributes to project results briefings and demonstrates software and/or hardware to both technical and non-technical audiences
Establishes and facilitates regular cross-team project team meetings
Documents and distributes meeting minutes and follow up on action items to resolution
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Currently enrolled as an undergraduate (Junior or Senior) and pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in Information Technology, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or similar major
Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher
Ability to demonstrate innovative thinking and eagerness to investigate business challenges, both independently and as part of a team, and provide effective solutions
Strong analytical skills with the ability to independently solve problems
Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas
Strong interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of relational and dimensional database structures via SQL Server
Broad information technology, data analytics, machines learning, and/or optimization background
Software development and software engineering life cycle experience in current languages and best practices
Novice to intermediate level comfort using R, Spark, Python, or Scala languages for Data Science
Successful completion of courses such as: Data Analytics, Advance and Basic Statistics, Data Curation Concepts, Cloud Data, Data Mining, Data Visualization, Regression Analysis, or Econometrics
