CommIT Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a passionate and experienced Scrum Master to join our team and support our Veteran’s Affairs customer and their Telehealth teams in Charleston, SC. This is a REMOTE role, and requires team level planning, integrated stakeholder and task management, as well as scrum ceremony facilitation.
Established in 2001, CommIT is a Certified Veteran-Owned Small Business (CVOSB) providing innovative technical engineering and data science services. Our enterprise systems support includes the Department of Defense’s (DoD) GCSS-MC, CAC2S, TBMCS-MC, and the Department of Veteran’s Affairs’ (VA) telehealth communications. We offer acquisition management, systems engineering, Agile software development, cloud management, IT modernization, data analytics, cybersecurity, and training, including leading-edge DevSecOps, automated testing, and mobile application development.
Responsibilities
Your essential job functions, skills and knowledge will include but may not be limited to-
Facilitate Agile Processes: Act as a servant-leader to facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives for the project.
Ensure Team Collaboration: Foster collaboration and communication within and across other portfolio teams, to ensure alignment with project goals and priorities.
Remove Impediments: Proactively identify and address impediments that hinder the progress of the team, escalating issues to leadership when necessary to ensure timely resolution.
Empowerment and Accountability: Empower team members to self-organize and make decisions, while holding them accountable for their commitments and outcomes.
Continuous Improvement: Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating regular retrospectives and implementing action items to enhance team performance and processes.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs, gather feedback, and ensure their requirements are effectively communicated and prioritized.
Coach and Mentor: Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members on Agile principles, practices, and methodologies.
Atlassian Management: Create/maintain the team’s Jira boards and Confluence pages.
Analytics and reporting: Create analytics and report team status, planning, and accomplishments at ceremonies.
Collaboration: Collaborate with project leadership to ensure the team has a clear understanding of what their priorities are at all times.
Qualifications
Required Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile leadership role
Communication Skills: Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills with the ability to address issues in a timely manner to ensure project success.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities, requirements, and environments while maintaining focus on delivering value to the project.
Agile Methodology: Working knowledge of agile methodologies, techniques, and frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban to deliver solutions effectively.
Communication: Strong communication and presentation skills.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Required Education:
BS Degree in applicable field from an accredited College or University
Preferred Experience:
Experience with the software development lifecycle and supporting application development teams.
Experience with the telehealth industry, in support of requirement generation and roadmap implementation.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
