Smart4Chemicals are looking to recruit a Product Manager for a leading chemical and polymer manufacturing company based in Pasadena, Texas. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for optimizing profitability through pricing, volume, asset utilization, and inventory strategies. You will also lead cross-functional collaboration to drive business planning, product portfolio management, and long-term strategic initiatives, in addition to much more.
To be considered for this role as a Product Manager, you must possess previous experience in the chemical, polymer, petrochemical or a similar industry, with a strong understanding of polymer markets and profit drivers. You will also have previous experience as a Product Manager specifically within Polyethylene manufacturing.
You must also hold a Bachelor's degree at a minimum in Engineering, Business, Economics, or a similar field.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead cross-functional reviews to optimize product segmentation and maximize financial results.
Guide sales and planning teams on demand-supply alignment and efficient execution of S&OP.
Drive product portfolio optimization, recommending deletions, new developments, and manufacturing innovations.
Develop 5- and 10-year business plans, aligning market demand forecasts with asset strategies.
Define pricing requirements to achieve business quality targets and set competitive monthly floor prices for approval.
Evaluate investment opportunities, providing business case assumptions and scenarios for leadership.
Actively contribute to team development through collaboration and coaching.
Key Requirements:
Possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
Have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in chemicals, polymer or petrochemical industries.
Demonstrate experience in commercial, financial, and technical roles, with a minimum of 3 years in managerial or leadership roles.
Showcase strong strategic and analytical capabilities in business planning and optimization.
Exhibit exceptional communication skills with the ability to align and influence diverse stakeholders.
